Drove a friends E63 the other and wasn't impressed at all ...I guess after driving a Turbocharged E36 M3/4 with 450 at the wheels i am not surprised .....nothing like driving a FI bimmer ...335's are great cars that are easily modable,,,.....

I wonder how all those mods would hold up on the race track.. say 30 min sessions... would temps skyrocket and turbos blow? new Diverter Valve for sure cause stock ones can't take the abuse....

are the 8 way adjustable sport seats good enough for tracking?

Actually, I am kinda impressed by the M5... Its about the same HP and lower torque than E63, but it seems to have kept up with your 335i much better :-)

I drove a few E60 M5's and they definitely don't feel that fast...

So sammyf you believe the E60 M5 is not fast. It would be fun to run you with my M5.
BTW what is the weight difference between the 335 and M5?
The 335's are fast no doubt but the constant talk and claims that they will trounce all comers especially the M5 is getting old.

Cheers

Um the difference is about 500-600lbs in curbweight since my car weighed in at about 3400lbs stock. The M5 is like 4,000 according to different sites I've seen (but everyone seems to have a different idea) I dunno but your beast on a scale and find out. But the 335i when modded correctly will beat on a lot of cars I know personally. As for your M5 ya but your M5 has alot of mods as well almost 600whp and is on the Bottle. So I dunno how exactly your trying to compare your M5 to these 335's? My car only put out 400whp / 435wtq before I got rid of it with the mods listed above on race gas I never got to put it on the bottle though I'd like to see what it did with that. All I know is no matter how "old" you think the "335 vs XXX" topics are its still doesn't mean its not real or worthy of talking about. No one says posting about your 581whp M5 and trying to race people is getting old so why bother say that?
