I think they were trying to keep pricing somewhat close.

Why? The base Cayman is already $15k more expensive.

C/D TEST RESULTS:

Zero to 60 mph: 4.7 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 11.5 sec
Zero to 140 mph: 25.6 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.3 sec @ 106 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 143 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 157 ft
Roadholding, 328-ft-dia skidpad: 0.89 g

thats stock, with crap run flats.

Now a more focused version of that would make buying an m3 stupid imo, especialy when reviews are out like this http://www.bimmerfile.com/2008/02/17...view-bmw-135i/
saying that the 135 is more fun to drive. IMO eibach springs, quality rubber, and a dinan tune would make this car a freak.

btw
aw 135 w/sport pkg on order here.....And now as it seems that the hype is true it might be the best decision of my life haha.

BMW is crazy making such a cheap car so fast. Like the 335 faster than Z4M. Bizarro world over in Bavaria.

Well, we only get the 1-series hatches over here, so that is damn ugly. The coupe is better looking, that's for sure.

It's an interesting car. Not quite a great daily driver, not quite exotic enough as a weekend only toy. A daily toy??? Hehe...
Good

is the e-diff exclusive to the 1 series? in the movie it didn't look like the differential was acting any different than a standard, open differential. when jason plato flips the car around doing cookies, only one (the outside) tire spins.
