about to buy 08 M3. Any suggestions?

My girlfriend is about to buy a 2008 M3 with the following:

Melbourne red
Extended black leather
Heated seats
Moonroof
19" wheels

From what I understand these were recently selling over MSRP but are now coming down to MSRP? The dealer quoted us MSRP. Any suggestions for a first-time BMW buyer?

Thanks

I think she should go bold and get red with red leather. What do you think?

Talk to Joe Perillo of Perillo BMW in Chicago.
According to another post, you can get it below MSRP. Fly in from Michigan and have a nice drive home :-)
I got 2 cars from him over the past 4 years, excellent deals!

white exterior with red inside is proving to be a popular combo among those who are ordering the car.

They're all sweet colors. My second favorite is Interlagos Blue. Has anybody ever seen red with red interior?

dont be a guinea pig for bmws first year production. theyre going to have their problems. after 12 months used with <5k miles will be low 50s if not high 40s (for a well optioned car). residual values are garbage for the car (54% after 24 months). its only been a couple weeks into the production cycle and ANYONE can pull a discount on them. the e46 m3 was selling for msrp and over for at least a year. not even close this time.

Its already a little more than she wanted to spend. Just trying to keep it relatively reasonable.

cut out the moonroof so you get the full carbon roof... It'll look hot on red and save some dough...

Not on a new M3, but on the previous version as well as the Z4 roadster and Z8, and it does look great on BMWs. Unlike some cars, a red interior in a BMW isn't all red, so there's enough contrast to make it look good. Much as I like Porsche interiors, getting ino a red one makes me feel like I've cut open my Taun-Taun.
