So...which car is the 'record holder' this car or the red one that is for sale in the For Sale section...

i'm not certain which one's the record holder, but i think it might be this one. this one posts 858rwhp and the red one in classifieds says 836rwhp. however, i remember when the red one was like 650hp and the owner was saying the power figures were going to be doubled, and people were questioning the idea of its predicted 1300hp. i'm not sure if that was ever accomplished though. if it did near 1300hp then that is insane. for now i guess powerwise this HPF one holds the record. regardless, both are awesome cars though, not meaning to take anything away from them...at that level that kind of power is amazing.

We could have turned the boost up more, but stopped after passing the prior record... We were at 60% duty cycle on the turbo and 70% injector duty cycle on the injectors.

Here are the two dyno graphs of the HPF and the prior record. The prior record dyno graph was done using STD correction, so we used STD correction on the graph below. (NOTE: 90mph = 5,600rpm)

Prior Record

New Record (NOTE: 90mph = 5,600rpm)

cool thanks for the graphs, awesome work! with the built motor it can still rev to 8k? that turbo must sing at 8,000rpm and 1.7 bar with titanium exhaust! what kind of boost can this thing go to safely with the fuel limits? thanks!

Yes, we're setting the rev-limiter at 7,900rpm. We've taken various M3 motors to 8,500rpm without incident, but for production kits we prefer to error on the safe side. The turbo in our stage 3 kit would most likely run out of steam at around 925rwhp. We designed the engine to handle 1,200rwhp, so we're good there. Our stage 4 is scheduled to make around 1,000rwhp and we should have those results in about 2 months or less.

Chris.
