Tacky, unless it's a aftermarket kit.

Painting the stock calipers usually looks very tacky.

I say go for it! On your red/red car, red calipers would work.

Tacky...It's like putting an M badge on a non-M.

Painted is not worth it IMO. Anything flashy will change colors/dull. I painted my stock calipers red using a high temp paint. They looked nice until a few trackdays later, the red turned to a dull maroon color. A waist of a weekend

I was thinking of doing the calipers on the M6 in red. and putting white BMW Performance logos on them. They look like crap as is and its not like they are small brakes like on a civic or something. The factory M6 Brakes are big. (BTW the car is Alpine White w/ Black Leather with red alcantera inserts )

You don't need aftermarket brakes unless you're planning to track the car, and it'd be a waste to get Brembos simply so you can paint your brake calipers without a bunch of net-cranks calling you out.

Leave well enough alone..

I am thinking of powder coating my calipers the same color as my seat belts(silver) with black stencil. But most likely it won't happen

If you get aftermarket brakes then leave the color that you choose alone.

If you give the home painted calipers a GOOD heat cycle they will change colors!

Just say no!
