New 7 series leaked *pics*

Wow, the lines on this are NICE!!! The only thing I'm unsure about at this point is the grille. I'm a big fan of the current 7 series, but this might be better. Everybody had the same negative things to say about the new 3/M3 series, now everybody likes it. Give it a chance.

Absolutely disgusting. That last best 7-series was the one Tupac got shot up in: you KNEW from afar that it was a 7 series. WTF is this thing? What's with the side badge and the ugly rear, not to mention the uninspired front?
Why or how Chris Bangle is still employed by BMW is beyond me. Oh wait, I know: tastless ****** will fork over $90,000+ at the latest big body BMW regardless of the fact that it looks like ****. Hey, it happened to the previous model, so this one is no exception, I'm sure.
That said, the prospect of a factory internet system is awesome, not to mention its infrared system that can identify people in the dark at highway speeds. But the body...

I think the car looks sick. Very aggressive, sleek, and elegent. Cant wait to see the sport package version. The rear is odd, but it will grow on me.

Just wait till BMW offers individual color combinations and options on the new 7. Mmmm, 750li with sport package, piano black wood trim, beige seating, and 15% tint....

As for 7-series drivers being tasteless ******, they have good taste in luxury sports sedans because NOTHING from Audi or M-B compares dollar-to-dollar with a BMW in the sport part of the equation. I've driven them all: A8, S4, S6, S8, E55, SL 55, S55, etc. and while they may be better-looking or have more power, etc., etc., they do not come together as a whole vehicle combining engine, steering-feel, suspension tuning, etc. when being compared to the BMW. I'm not sure most 7-series buyers are in tune to that but I applaud those who are. Automotive taste comes in 2 flavors: how it looks and how it drives. Sometimes you will have to compromise on one because of the other. There's plenty of nice-looking vehicles I've driven and didn't get because the driving dynamic wasn't up to par. I know a lot of buyers chose a vehicle based on name alone and that doesn't make them tasteless. Maybe they like the way it feels better than the other car they drove and they don't even know why. I think BMW is moving in the right direction but it's taking a damn-long time.

I agree with your comment about Bangle, even though his "flame surfacing" has been copied by many other designers and you know what they say about imitation. Some of the concave/convex surfaces look good instead of just being slab-sided, but the theme can get carried too far.

Maybe in another 6 years.

I agree with you. In my mind the A8 is about style and grace, the S-class is about crazy power and insane technology, and the 7-series is about driver control and feel, but dammit, I thought for all the **** they got for the previous model they'd at least make some stylistic changes to it.

You're obviously Audi biased so talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, but still, the new 7-series I think is one fine car. Both in looks, quality, performance, and driving feel.
Dozen of forum members will have one in their garage in the coming months for sure...

You have to understand that this is only your personal opinion. The last 7-series was a great success, so is the 5-series, 3-series, X-series, and 6-series. Thousands of people find the 7-series and bangle designs very attractive. I happen to be one of those people. Bangle revolutionized the auto industry with more contemporary designs, bringing the looks out of the 90's and into the 2000's.

You accuse me of being Audi biased but you wouldn't pass up on the opportunity to blow Bangle if you could.
