Def try a different dealer. I used to (out of warranty now) take my car to various dealers in the DC/Bmore/VA market- and some wouldn't work on my car- others would be happy to oblige. You don't know if the tech who looked at your car blacklisted it or not. In this situation, I don't know what I would do- besides, unfortunately selling the car. Even though my M3 is out of warranty, I don't care- because I have so many hookups with different places that it doesn't matter anymore. Although, when it was in warranty I don't know what I would have done without it.
