i heard some talk about a new tranny called MCT being released, but dont get your hopes up cause supposedly it will be released in 2011

 

The C63 is strong from a dig. But from a rolling start it does not stand a chance. The DCT transmission makes quicker changes and pulls more on every shift of the C63.

Very good vid. The C63 will be beat by the M3, but I think the guy just gave up, because that was BAD!!!!!!!! LOL

 

So is there a final verdict on which car is faster in straight runs? C63 or M3?

It'll depend a lot on the driver.

 

MCT is already available for the SL63 and 2010 E63. It's not a dual clutch system, it upshifts at 100ms which is slower then SMG and much slower then DCT.

 

The M3 convert is over 400 lbs heavier than a coupe or sedan. I recently drove all of them and wasn't too impressed with the performance of the convertible. Seemed so much slower than the hard tops.
