Anyone here with an X5, does it qualify for tax exemption loophole?

I am considering either a range rover or an x5 (possibly a 3L 6 manual for better MPG) and was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the 3L model qualified for the tax exemption loophole. The loophole I'm referring to says that if the GVW is over 6k lbs you can write of a larger % of the car's cost. I know the v8 qualifies I'm just not certain about the 6 cylinder.

Thanks

Try google searching Section 179 for listed vehicles.

i'm pretty sure it qualifies. for this year, you can double the exemption to $50k.
