My introduction and my new 135i.

Hey - I have lurked here a bit in the past, but figure since I now actually own a car with a 6-speed, I should register.

I'm Matt, live in Santa Barbara.. Started off my driving life in Mustangs, more recently had an 05 WRX that saw some track time at Willow Springs and then I picked up this fine piece of machinery about 2 weeks ago, after I took a test drive and fell in love.

Anyways, here she is:

08 135i (6sp, obviously!)
Black Sapphire Metallic
Premium Package w/ Black Boston Leather
Sport/M Package
iPod/MP3 Package

better pic of the color:

Nice shots! I imagine that a chipped 135i must be a lot of fun, any plans to mod it?

It will get some minor cosmetics soon, tint, white halos...

But I'm not going to mess with the power or suspension for a good long while.. I need to reacquaint myself with the fun that is RWD.. Once I feel like I really have a handle on it again and maybe if i get the track itch again, it might see some work (modifying cars is fun, but makes the most sense to me only after you can drive the car to at least close to it's full current potential).. To be completely honest, this thing is plenty fast for everyday 'spirited' driving. I now truly know what everyone means now talking about the car being very underrated from the factory (power-wise). It pulls hard, have already shown a Cayman S my taillights (just saying, don't want to start a war here, Porsche guys ).

Feels like you are in a much bigger car, interior space wise when you are in the front seats.. just as good as the 335.. back seats are another story.. they are somewhat useable for an adult, for short trips, but you would not want to be back there for any prolonged period of time if you are over, say, 5ft 3in.
