Whats a Negotiable price 09 m3 conv fully opt

My father has been debating purchasing an 2009 M3 Convertible, fully optioned out. MSRP comes out to $81k, minus a couple small options. I have researched that at invoice dealers get them for $60,860, each option at invoice is about 5-6 percent lower than at msrp.

How do you think these cars will sell throughout the winter? Shouldn't they be offering good deals? I know it would be horrible to pay sticker price on any m3, anyone have additional info? I've searched the internet and have read that people have picked up 08 coupes for invoice and very close to invoice.

Right now they have crazy lease deals, for example, 08 m3 conv...700 a month, 36 months, $5k down with 0.9% financing...however 10k miles a year, however that could be negotiable.

Anyways, if anyone has any information before we take a visit to the dealer, please let me know...it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

I work at a BMW dealer in Colorado. And with how new and desired the new model is even going into winter we aren't dropping off of list price all that much. Leasing works for some people, but on an ///M3 you wont want to give it up once your lease is up. Yea you can buy out your lease, but then your out more money than if you would have just financed it. This is no 328 that wont be all that missed. I can't say for the dealers out there, but either buy private party or be ready to put a little more into it and be owner numero uno

For a 2009, expect 3.9 APR and 2-3K over invoice.

Angry

Well, it didnt turn out so well. My primary concern before even speaking about the m3's price was the value of our 2007 sl550 w/ 17k. We have gone to numerous different dealerships and have been offered 47, 49, and $52,500. So When the salesmen came back with the value of the merc, he gave me $46k. I was like of course not, i would rather get 52.5 for the sl and save money buying a C63 (which is the other car i'm choosing from). The guy was an complete *******, following the news about the SL, he then decides to say the bottom line price on the 09 vert, is 2k off sticker. Which means a super deal of $78k. I walked out, i didnt want to start arguing and negotiating a deal from those ridiculous numbers. And it seemed that he didnt care either, shook hands and that was it.

But i have to say the new m3 is so amazing looking. This weekend im taking a visit back to the other BMW dealer because they were much more negotiable. give you the heads up...

p.s.- What i dont get is how i can get 4 different values for the trade-in of the SL when 4 diff dealers all look at that same little book. They must end up with the same price that the book gives them and then speak to their manager about the final trade-in value. What affects that "final" value?. I just dont get it, any help?

some dealers are willing to use some of their profit by adding it to the price of your trade to come up with the higher numbers. The last place you went to probably has been selling the M3's for list or close to it and see no reason to discount the car as much as the other places. My guess is the car is probably REALLY worth somewhere around the lower number you got... then if the other place is giving you 4k more for the trade they are just over-allowing using 4k of thier profit from the M3. Regardless ... if a dealer would give you 50k+ for the Merc AND give a big discount on the M3, it sounds like a great deal. But usually youll find the places that give you tons of $$ for your trade wont move much on the price of the new car, for the reasons I stated above.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

The M3 game is over as of today..we pulled the trigger on an 09 C63 blk/blk. We got $52.5k for the SL and bought the merc for $64k. Msrp was $68,880 if i'm not mistaken. Il be in cali from wednesday to sunday, picking up the car on following monday. Truthfully, i wish the M3 deal worked out, have never owned an BMW other than a new 2002 x5 4.4 that we gave back after less than 2 months of ownership b/c of numerous reasons. But i can say a c63 is a good substitute...i will post pics shortly after its delivery.

thanks 6speed

I picked up my M3 coupe for 57750 which stickered for 64500. I also got .5 percent lease rate. I had to put some more money down but that was because my audi was not worth what they gave me for it. No big deal tho, still have a sick car for a lease payment which is only 602 a month. They have room in the price, they just did not want to earn your business for some reason. BMW Main Line in PA is where I got mine. Doug Walter was my salesman. He is awesome. This is the 3rd car I bought from him. good luck with everything.
