e60 M5 Increased Emmisions

Anyone get this fault yet? I need to bring it to the dealer but I have an evosport exhaust. As far as I know, the O2 sensors are ahead of the exhaust so any increase in emissions would be coming from before the exhaust and not a result of the exhaust, correct?

TCM is infamous around these parts
Very common fault on the E60 M5. Happens a lot up here in the northeast with colder temps. The exhaust definitely did not cause the warning and I am fairly certain you will not have a hard time getting it done under warranty. Check out www.m5board.com for more detailed info. Great forum.

increased emissions is usually an error that comes up with any CEL. you need to get the error codes read to find out what the actual fault is...

I posted my response to a similar question M5board as well..... I had an "Increased Emissions" light and it turned out to be a "failed evap system" code. They replaced or replugged a vacuum hose in the passenger side rear under warranty.
