M6. I've had mine for 1 1/2 years and really like it. It's my first BMW after many Porsches etc, and other than a couple of small quirks like the oil sensor and complicated i-drive, it has been a blast. I drove a new M3 recently, and was pretty unimpressed. The interior, is much better in the M6, but, of course, it's more $.
Used M6s are really coming down in price, however. Gas mileage around town is pretty bad, but on the highway it is acceptable.

Some have suggested the CLK BS. It's a fun car but imo it's held back by the 7speed auto. I've driven one and the experience was great all around except the tranny.

That was my concern with the BS as well...that's it's an auto. I know it's a fantastic auto, but I still find auto's boring.

Great input, thanks.

Great post, thanks. I've found some outstanding lease take-over deals out there for M6's and M5's that would allow me to try the car out for a short period of time.

One question for anyone that knows; will a software flash give the M5 enough power to run with a M6 in a straight line? I know the cars are already close, but I'm not sure how much power a flash gives the cars. Thanks.

turn up the volume for...the background music?
that got to be the WORST background music ever. haha

i used to dislike 6 series in general but someone's M6 from this forum proved me wrong. (AW M6 with HRE wheels. He also has red 997TT)
if money isnt the issue, i'd definitely go with m6 over m3. for some reason, e92 m3 isnt as appealing as normal e92.
did you already find the car you like?

Your talking about VIC55. Its a nice ride.Id go with an m6 all the way. As i mentioned previously. For almost the same price , get the M6.
What is the name of the site that deals with lease take overs? I am thinking about getting into something too.

Get the E92 M3. The advantage is, wait 6-8 more months and you will see S/C kits for sell, then mod your M3, and you will have a killer daily driver.
