[Vid] Modded E92 M3 DCT vs. Modded E60 M5

You need to school other M5 owners on how to drive. I always pound M5 and M6's badly from a 60 mph roll, in fact never lost to one. I am trapping maybe 120-121 off the nitrous on a good day and with them trapping as high as 118-119 it should be alot closer.

Here's a quick comparo run with my buddies E92 M3 6mt, he has a pulley and filter.

I assume you are referring to the trap speed in the quarter mile?

walked from what speed to what speed? Up to 100, the M5 is barely building up.
The results all depend from starting speed and gear.
I learned that today, I went way too low for my powerband and almost paid the price. If we would have started closer to 65, the race would have been different. But the M3 would already be in third and would only have 4th and 5th gears of hard acceleration. It is all a gearing and RPM game, IMO.

I think what is clear here is that a bolt on M3 will walk a stock M5, the cars are not as far apart as that ****** on M5board wants everyone to believe. Bolt on's vs. Bolt on's is a good race.
The M5 is carrying a lot of mass, that works against it. However, by 100 most races are over on the street, that does make the M5 somewhat one dimensional compared to the M3's all around ability at all speeds.

Would love to see the result as well.

We'll find out soon when I strap it on my car lol I dunno how a 600+hp M3 will loose to any M5/6 without a heavy dose of NOS or A blower of its own!

it's pretty incredible how you can tape so accurately while racing. Glad you don't have a 6 speed

Looks like that Film Degree paid off. Definitely not possible with the 6mt, some vids didn't come out though.

I chose not to exchange the diff because I like the high speed runs. Where the M3 lacks, so it is not an all around good performer. We can go ahead and test that out too.
