How much longer already for the E92 M3?? About to not have my SL63 in a few weeks and having a very hard time deciding what to replace it with.

SpoolMasta is infamous around these parts
G-power unit is already out, but very pricey considering the gains. (there is a m3post member that already has this unit installed in the USA) ESS, VFE, and AA are all in testing stages of their kit, at least one should be out before spring.

grab the latest edition of European Car.

It articles on both the VF and Active Autowerks superchargers. The VF engineering one looks very close to being ready (620HP at 5lbs of boost if I remember correctly). The AA was their only prototype, but they were getting 640hp but with 7lbs of boost (again, if I remember correctly...I am out of town and don't have the magazine with me.)

That said, the VF car looked SICK!! I would contact VF engineering for more info.

I hope this helps.

They're right. The G-power is out and it looks fantastic, but I'd rather wait to see what Active has cookin' in their M3..Same with VF.

Ditto.

ESS is supposed to ship at the end of this month/beginning of August. Integrated water-air intercooler, very nice setup.

Active's is 2 months out, VF will probably be the last to market but that is not a bad thing.

Active's kit also will have dual BOV's and a FMIC, interesting.

Do you think there will be an advantage to going DCT vs Manual for the S/C kits?

I think so. Shouldn't be any boost loss during shifts. Whether the DCT can handle the power in the long run is a different story.

If trying to make max power, the manual would handle the power better. The DCT obviously shifts faster and more consistently.

The DCT can handle 440 pound-feet of torque stock. None of the superchargers are pushing the torque over this amount.

Additionally, there is something in the works for the DCT and its torque levels Just up to personal preference.
