Interlagos Blue E90 M3 Build Thread

GMP - Matthew has been working with a client of his on an E90 M3, and we wanted to share the progress with you guys.

It started out as an Interlagos Blue 08 model that came with the optional 19" Double Spoke forged wheels (style 220M, 19 x 8.5 front, 19 x 9.5 rear).

To this we added an RD Sport Full Catback Exhaust, ECU Upgrade, Crank Pulley and Roof Spoiler, a Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Front Lip, H&R Sport Springs, 5% window tint, and a clear-bra to protect the front bumper and lip.

Here's what it looks like lowered on the H&R Sports:

When it came time to upgrade the wheels, the customer wanted no expense spared on the quality and aesthetics of the product. He chose the 3-piece forged HRE 790R in 20x9 front, 20x10.5 rear, with Satin Black centers and inner barrels. The lips (4" front, 5.5" rear) were then color-matched to the OEM Interlagos Blue body color. To finish off the package, the wheels were wrapped in RE050 performance rubber courtesy of Bridgestone, sized 255/30-20 and 305/25-20.

Here are the results:

The H&R springs are still in the process of settling, so they should drop a little more over the next few weeks. The client is far from being done modifying this car, and we have an intake system on the way for it as we speak. Stay tuned for updates (including an exhaust video), and send a PM to GMP - Matthew if you have any questions!

I know that Umnitza makes them. I don't know however if they have them for the newer m3's

schadenfreude is infamous around these parts
The best angel eyes right now are the following:

HID's from Camaross305 on M3Post - Wiring harness needs to be run, but these are the brightest option. Multiple colors available

E92 Lux LED's. Still needs a harness, but uses LED's.

Angel iBrights from European Auto Source. Not as bright as the other 2, but no mods to the headlight housing, and no harness. Also the most expensive option. I chose these since it's easiest to go back to stock if needed.

Will these work on an M3?? The 335's have completely different set up from the M3.

THe wheel model was chosen by the customer, I suggested the colors of everything. I honestly thought the Blue lips were going to look hot from the beginning although we haven't seen any pictures before hand. Only other cars (mostly white or black lips) but I'm glad I picked them out because they are stunning on the car in person and while rolling. The only downside is they are extremely difficult to keep clean and we think with such deep lips that its collecting a lot of dust from the road/brakes. In the coming months we will most likely be sending the wheels back to have the lips refinished in "Black Chrome" Another rare finish but a much durable one and easier to clean than paint and you don't have to worry about swirl marks...

We have a Dinan intake that just came in and we will be installing that soon with more video to come.

Is that dropped any deeper than the normal M3 with performance wheels? Looks almost the same...

beautiful car, but I think HRE monobloks would have looked a bit better. Just my opinion, though.

It is definately lower, when the car is parked with teh ebrake locked and camera angles all change the way it sits sometimes. We will have slow rolling vids up soon after the intake gets put on to truly see how it sits while driving. We are doing springs installed for right around $900 with alignment so the customer felt it was definatly worth it not to mention how much better it corners and rides too. Much smoother and tighter in the corners and the steering is much more responsive. I highly suggest atleast an alignement when changing the wheels. It makes a big difference once the tow is corrected.
