335i (tuned) vs. C63" (tuned)
A guy on another forum had some fun with a C63.
How they matched up:
335i
-JB3 1.4
-BMS DCI
-3" C@tless RR Coated DP's
-CP-E C@tless Exhaust
-Spearco FMIC
-Forge Diverter Valve's
-109 octane
C63
-Custom MHP ECU/TCU Tune
-No sec. cats
-No resonator
-MHP 180F THERMOSTAT
-BMC Filters
-LSD
From Kyle on another BMW forum:
"A couple nites prior to this, the C63 AMG beat a E60 M5 with Esienmann exhaust, Xpipe, no sec cats/no resonator, air scoops, CAI's from 20-130 rolls by about 2 car lengths and would continue to pull if they did not shut it down.
Also beat SAE corrected 420WHP w211 E55 AMG, which is a factory freak!!!!
This AMG holds the worlds fastest stock 1/4 mile time of 12.1@116mph.
Run 1 and 2- From 20 mph up to 120. I would pull a 1/4 to 1/2 car till 100 and then he would pull to where my front bumper was on his rear bumper and would continue to pull about a car length but we shut down at 120. (during run 1 i got a limp mode and power gave out somewhat and same thing occured the run directly after for run 2, i was on the low boost race map)
40 minute car cool down break........
Run 3-we did 20 to ~150mph
I was on the high boost race map this run and would pull the 1/2 car intiailly first and then pulled some more and stayed about 1- 1 1/2 car length ahead and held the lead and kept the full lead with no problem up to 150mph.

Some more information on the C63, he ran a new model M5 with an exhaust, x pipe and charcoal intake mod and some other things (noted in 5sokos post below) and would consistently pull on every race about 1 car length and pull more if they didnt shut down............runs from 20-120.......
also this C63 amg ran a 12.1@116 mph STOCK (world record).........this car is EXTREMELY strong stock and now modded..........."

Fastest C63 "in the world"?
I'm not sure. Do you know of or seen the Evosport prepped C63?
Are you in So Cal? There's a member DJLS (Drew) with a mighty quick E92 M3.

& i'm gunna have to agree w/ ranger, i'd put my money on drew to beat this c63 & the evosport c63 is one of the fastest cars i've seen, i raced him in my 335 just for ****s & giggles & believe me, i giggled, & my car isn't slow!

That's an impressive win for the 335I! I ran my buddies 335I with all those mods, he was on Map 11, MS109, etc. and we were heads up. If he was AT he'd pulled on me.
Although fast, I'm positive that's not the world's fastest C63.

Keep in mind the c63 is a detuned motor and is more than capable of putting out about a 100 horsepower more. There are mods done to c63's putting close to 600 horsepower doing small mods. Check out infodragtimes.com These C63's crush the new M3 and 335's in a straight line.

This is my 335i in the video. The first two runs I had limp modes since i have a BOOST LEAK (you can hear it in the video). The third run the leak wasnt nearly as bad and I left him easier because of it. We will be re running next week and this time I will have my new Stett charge pipe instead of the OEM piece that is extremely faulty. So I am thinking ALL of the results of the videos will result the same way as the 3rd run was or more.

Yea I put that information in my thread on N54tech.com but made sure it said STOCK record. It was mainly food for thought and to prove that this wasn't an underperforming c63 by any means.

I had a boost leak on the first two runs that you can here in the video. After getting my car smoke tested this morning for boost leaks, both DV's leaked tremendously due to a faulty OEM charge pipe.
I put in an order for the Stett charge pipe that comes with meth bunges in it......
Meth i believe will be a winter mod for only 350 bucks...........
