X5 or X6 M

Hey everyone

I've seen two X5 Ms in the wild and I really like the look of them. I like the motor (twin turbo, 555hp what's not to like?) but just wondering if anyone here owns one or has driven/been inside one?

My local dealers don't even have them on the lot so I haven't been able to check it out, but I want one..

Would love to hear thoughts.

The X6 M is starting to grow on me. The X5 doesn't look that unique.

Love the unique, new look of X6 M too, but never driven either. X5 M only if you really need the full room of the SUV.

Sorry I am a n00b to these, they are faster than a range rover sport supercharged right?

Yes, definitely faster than anything Range Rover has.

I really like the look of the X5, so the aggressive X5 M is what I'd prefer, but they both are the same power train wise and probably suspension wise too?

Have seen them both, driven neither...

the X5 M is just gorgeous. It appeals to me because people in the know are aware it's something special, with a quick second glance. The x6 under any circumstances is plain butt ugly to me.

I did the X6M and i have to tell you... its amazing. I too was an ///M critic about doing an SUV/SAV but trust me they got it right . Here is a video of my space gray with red interior and carbon leather:

Clarkson drives the X5 M on today's Top Gear and he just sold me on it. It's everything I want haha

I don't know why but I just can't get into the X6, I don't like the back at all...

I have an X5M.. Love it.

My previous SUV was a 2006 X5 4.4i - this a giant leap forward in every aspect. I wanted the 'full size' SUV space the X5 offers.. X6 is tiny in back.

It's subtle to those non-car people, but anyone who knows cars knows what it is.

Pwned a few unsuspecting 'sports' car drivers so far - I'm sure they figured out 'what that was'

Some pics of mine below - other pics here.

My buddy has a White X5M and I mean I'm not really a fan of SUV's that aren't really SUV's (meaning just as limited offroad as your average car) But thats the exception and I hate the X6 it looks fruity from the back and the rear seats are border line useless for people with heads. I vote X5M

X5M gets my vote, something just doesn't look right about the X6

I think the problem here is that you are a buying a "sport SUV."

Why not just blow all that money on cheap booze and cheaper women? You'd get much more for your buck than buying a SUV with an "M" badge on it.

Sorry to have no love for this but really, an SUV with 555 hp? Why? what purpose?
