E46 hehehehe!

I finally nailed it down to my car....the E46 M3!

My plan is to get the motor bored and stroked (no homo), slap on the Eisenmann Race exhaust and KW V3 coilovers.

What you guys think???

Sounds like a pretty cool starting point. What about forced induction?

Sounds like a great plan. Do you think you can find one without a sunroof?

If it was me, I would get a 335i for cheaper, slap on intake, exhaust, and JB3, plus some kw coilovers, and have a faster car...but that's just me. Any M owners who care to explain otherwise?

David9962000- Umm...I'm not really sure about the sunroof. All i know is I'll be getting the coupe for sure. no-go on convertibles for me haha

Returnofcc- the 335i was my initial choice but the E46 is my all time favorite haha.

Your going to find a twin turbo e46 m3? Let me know when you find one, let alone a tuner that makes a twin turbo conversion.

Depends on what you use the car for. If you plan on tracking, then e46 M hands down any day of the week. A stock e46 M will out handle a e90/92 with coilovers. I have a friend with a 335 with KW coilovers and I've driven it quite a few times and it still doesn't feel as "connected" to the road as my M did.

Now for a daily driver I can see where you would take a 335, but if it were me I would still take the M Of course I'm a little bias.

Yea, I guess. The most appealing thing to me about the 335 is the awd, and the basic tuning potential, but I can see why somebody might want the M instead.

Tell me where you're going to find a 335 for less than an E46 M3?

Now I'd rather have the E46M with forced induction rather than building the motor. HPF of AA kit would be easier and yield more power.

It cost 100K to produce my FI M3 (built motor etc.). I purchased it from the guy for half of what he spent and then spent another 6-8K sorting out all the issues.

It is a WONDERFUL car, but it is much much cheaper to get the same performance out of the 996TT platform.

An 06 e46 M3 would go for about the same as an 08 335i...
