My point is I would rather have the power in a speed range that you actually visit all the time. I would much rather have a faster car under 150 mph than over 150 mph.

and BMW seems to agree with you. The new M5 will probably be at least equal to the Panamera in acceleration. For me, it is not my fast car, so I'd rather have the better engine which the V10 is.

And the Panamera Turbo is going to be very hard to beat, especially off the line by anything RWD. I don't see that any RWD competition will be able to get to 60 in 3.3 seconds which equates to an 11.7 1/4 mile time!

Stock for stock probably not..

agreed. the panamera will be very tough to beat. Also on the track it will be hard to beat. I got to drive one on the track and it is a beast.
