BMW builds better car and prices accordingly. It knows customers will pay for better built&quality. If compare in C&D style, all cheap Korean made mid-cedans beat smaller qulity Japanese cars. More gadget, bigger car, bigger engine for same money. Would you buy cheap Korean made??
Uhhh, now the S4 is far closer to the 335i in
base price. And even closer to the 335xi. The M3 is far greater in price gap. Whether you like it or not, the S4 is priced to compete with the 335i. While the base is slightly higher it is far better equipped as a base vehicle.

I saw the 2nd Audi commercial during the bowl and wondered why arent they poking fun at Porsche or Lambo (in fact as a kid I had a poster of a red countach!) then i remembered that VW owns L and part of P. It stupid mkting thats it.
BTW, having driven the S4 sedan and 335sedan, I'd buy the Audi. Performance wise they are very similar, but the Audi is better looking. Its the only current 4dr I'd consider replacing my e39 m5 w/.

That was exactly the attitude the US co's had toward the Japanese. Oh my how times have changed.
And to directly answer your question, Yes I would now. 10yrs ago? No way. 5yrs ago? Maybe.
Also did you know that the IIHS ranked the Hyundai Sonata safer than the BMW 5? I wonder how they can do that???

I own a BMW and I don't understand why other BMW owners are so b*tt-hurt about these commercials. Each brand makes good cars and crap cars.

i wasnt hurt about the commercials. I was commenting on the poster comment than Korean cars are cheap. In fact, my comments were praise for a hyundai vs BMW.

The Toyota situation just makes it easier to consider a Korean car now. Having a test drive in a Korean SUV during the SD Auto Show, and a Genesis sedan a few months ago, they are pretty much on the level of Toyota in terms of initial quality.

Last I checked EVERY BMW beats the competing Audi and IF Audi does beat the BMW its by the tip of a fingernail and thats usually because the Audi is brand new vs a 5+ year old BMW design. Oh and doesn't BMW outsell Audi by far?

I have sold both BMW and Audi and like both cars. My problem with audi (espically the new ones) is that the Sterring BLOWS. It is so light and almost video game like feeling. I was so disappointed when driving the S5 on the road and the track. I cna believe I actually liked the IS-F more than the S5. They have the best interiors and make a nice car but all Audi has to do is look at the sales numbers compared to BMW in the US and know who is really winning.
