2011 M3 'Vert and H&R Springs
Morning Gents proud new owner of a 2011 M3 convertible. Love the car immensely, as it is a DD (traded in my 2008 Porsche).
Only MOD I am considering are changing the springs to the H&R's. While the car obviously handles great, I heard that the H&R's are compliant with the EDC, and would also perfectly "tune" the suspension. The car has some demonstrable body roll when cornering, and I'd like it to remain pretty flat.
Anyone here have experience doing so?> if so, does this degrade the funtionality of the day to day driveability of the car (i.e., I don't want it to be too bouncy, jarring), such that my wife will give me cra_ when in the car on weekends? :-). Plus, am I correct that I works perfectly in sync with the EDC aspects?
Thanks in advance

I have the 09 sedan m3. H&R has two options. one is much stiffer.
Go with the sport springs. They do work with EDC. They are inexpensive.
Labor cost the same as the springs.
The ride is minimally stiffer, not that much of a difference, but handling and looks are awesome.
IMO totally worth it.

H&R sport springs are great is you plan to use the car as a daily driver and H&R race springs will give you a lower look.
If you want a "stiffer" ride, go with some KW coilovers or consider getting some sway bars.

I'm leaning toward the H&R sport springs. People are telling me that the safest bet is to get the Dinan sport springs (they refer to is as the Stage 1 suspension). However, $1100 for the parts alone, and getting quoted 7 hours labor all in, $2,200 that sounds 'spensive to me Any thoughts? Am I OK just getting the springs from the tire rack?

tire rack is a reliable place to get them from, but you might want to shop around, other shops have better prices. try http://www.modbargains.com

Yeah 7 hours is way too long. Maybe if you were doing it yourself for the first time, with no lift and just jack stands.
