M3 Torn In Half - Driver Dies...
#32
RIP....no matter why or how he died it was sad....
I feel one of the common mistakes made in cars of this magnitude is getting in them and turning off all the driver aids and stability controls. But judging by the amount of damage he could have had everything on.

I almost deleted this thread because it's getting emotional and personal. Easy boys, or it comes down.

I was further inspecting the horrible pictures, where are the seats? It looks like they burnt, did the car catch fire?
From my technical reading about recent technology in chassis designing (in the safety aspect) I assumed that with absorbing areas and airbags, there couldn't be a situation where a car like a new BMW could snap in to two like this. He must have hit the tree exactly in the center of gravity of the car because else wise the car would spin instead of break.
