Acceleration issues

I have a 2008 535i. When accelerating at some rate, the car hesitates between 2500-3000 rpm. If I push the car, the "stutter" continues through all RPM ranges while accelerating. I think it occurs at a specifc acceleration rate.

On one occasion, I was passing someone and the car reacted with this "stutter". I came to a stop at a light and the stutter continued at idle but felt more pronounced. I pulled over and shut the engine down thinking compression issues and overheat. When I restarted, the issue went away.

NO "check engine" or other warning occurs before, during, or after the events. Braman has swapped $1000 in parts/labor and claims it's fixed after 3 trips to the dealer. The MX manager is not returning my calls. Someone please help me fix this!

Thanks,
W

Thanks for the reply. I offered the fuel pump issue when I first brought the car in. They didn't think so. They changed the coil and plugs on a couple of cylinders.

Anyone recommend a great BMW mechanic for this type of problem?

Thanks,
W
