Need info from those knowledgeable about modified M6
2006 M6.
I'm told it has a complete custom exhaust estimated at $8K; they do not know the company.
22" deep-dish rims (6" lip in the back 4" in front) on VERY low profile Pirellis.
Lowered with custom springs, possibly shocks too. Rides surprisingly well.
Hamann body kit.
I'm told no other performance modifications were done including no motor or PCM tuning work.
I, personally would not have gone bigger than 20's. During the test drive I noticed the car was short-shifting nowhere near redline in auto-mode.
Is there an option in the iDrive to set the rim/tire size like in the Porsches? Plus the car has a modified exhaust and that requires re-tuning; ball-park price for a basic exhaust/rim change tune?
Are the 22's over straining the half-shafts and tranny? Would you recommend 20's or stock?
Thanks for any help and input!

Hi ,
22 rims is over for the ///M6 i suggest the OEM rims , and it's OK with 20s regarding the Exhaust system i was driving my M6 for 4 months W/O problems on Tubi rumore Exhaust , then i tuned the ECU from CA Automotive , quick shifting is normal it's all in the Mdrive you need to adjust the SMG logic on the way you want to drive your ///M6
