Talking Well it has M/// badges

Just got home from the dealership.

2011 AW 750 Li Xdrive. CPO'd. 21K km. M sport/Multi-media/Executive packages with Ash/Antracite interior. 18" winters on it. 20" M-sports for summer. Full service included from previous owner. Tint goes on Thu, with the 20's being dropped off for black, semi-gloss powdercoating. Wrote in a discount for the Dinan Stage 2 tune as well.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics, but it won't stay this clean with the weather we're having...lol.

Thanks gentlemen, appreciate it.

Just a quick update. The tint was done a couple weeks ago and the powdercoated M-sports came back yesterday. Not sure what's up next or if this is it....aside from a Dinan tune.

Again I apologize for the weak cell phone pics. The car is rarely clean at this time of year up here but I'll break out the dSLR in the spring.

P.S. For all the M purists, it now has 4 less M badges that were "lost" in the powdercoating process.

I see you're in the Canadian Rockies so what altitude do you live at? I've been looking at different BMWs that last few years and test driven a lot of the inline-6 twin turbos back to back with the V8s and feel like the turbos are just as fast as the V8 cars if not faster, especially with the low-end torque advantage. These test drives have been in the 5500-6000 foot range. Did you try out the 740 or just go with the 750?

Congrats on the new ride! Very nice especially with the black rims on a white car. I'm not a fan of white but getting black rims is the only way to go if you do!

Thanks!

White would not have been my first choice, but the deal was too good to pass up. Definitely like it more now than I expected (except for how badly the bugs show up...lol).

We only get the 750, 760 and AH up here so no idea what the 740 performs like. My only comparison was to the 550, which is what we were originally shopping for.

You are aware that the 750 has a twin turbo V8 with 450 lb/ft? The 535 that we drove was nowhere near as quick/powerful as the 550 which would be a similar engine comparison.

We're only at 4600 ft here in town but the turbos are strong and consistent. Guessing you're in Denver or vicinity? Crazy weather you've been having lately.

Because that's what the car came with.

We weren't looking for a car this big, but after driving it and getting it for roughly the same price as a fully loaded 550 we were sold.

Frankly, I'm not sure why one would choose the standard wheelbase over the 550 other than for the exclusivity.

enjoy what you've purchased - sounds nice

(but had it been me looking for a BIG car (which I'm not), I'd have gone with a SWB B7)

Ya...ummm...well the additional almost $100K for the B7 was a bit out of my budget.

And as I mentioned previously, I don't really understand the point of the SWB. If I wanted a larger performance car, it would be the M5 all day over a SWB B7.

And fyi, I can get 500 hp and 580 lb/ft from Dinan for my 750 for only $3000.
