I think everything about the m6 convertible is excessive. A tank on rocket skates.

I love it.

sdotbphotographs posted pics of a coupe (another thread here), which I "photoshopped" to make it look better, IMO :

Were you trying to make it look like 911 or something? That looks far worse than M6 in any form.

uh, H E L L O ..... did you happen to see the topic of this thread ? no, well it's entitled "Thoughts on the new M6?"

my "thought" is that it would look better minus that ugly hump on the deck lid and minus that punch-drunk front lower lip (as shown being removed in the PS rendering)

and no - wasn't trying to make it look like a 911 - just turned out that way when the "uglys" were removed - and as I said, looks better IMO

you like the M6 the way it is ? ok, that's your opinion

Love the look of the new M6. I would definitely choose M6 over M5 in terms of looks.
Both cars hover around 4,350 lbs (gulp). Come on BMW, get them on a diet! Both need to shed 600-700 lbs to be truly competitive, otherwise they're just fast cars.

Its a hit for sure. The San Marino Blue is gorgeous in person...a real jaw dropper. First one in had a sticker of 131xxx and no carbon brakes.

I saw the M6 convertible at my local dealer. It's big, heavy and not all that exciting to look at. That being said; I'm sure the engine is fabulous. The reviews don't seem to be all that pleasing for the car. There are many cars in that price range that I would choose over the M6.

Just looked at one last night. Some very nice lines and solid power, but yeah.....it is very long!
