HPDE with the E93 M3 - Thoughts
So I finally did my 1st HPDE in Texas as well as with my E93 M3. Truth be told I wasn't expecting the little porker to handle as well as it did on the track, after all its over 4000lbs.
Only mods on the car were PF01 F&R Track Pads and fresh flush of Motul 600. I have an X-Pipe and fresh 19" PS2's in the Rear. Car cornered excellent and powered out of corners very well, although it took me a few sessions to decide to disable DSC so that I could actually power out with nannies kicking in. The brakes had amazing bite and other than the annoying squeal and rattling(no clips), there was noting else to criticize!
I headed over to MSR Cresson in North Texas with a good pal of mine also on the forum, JMargolese. His weapon of choice is of the British variety, Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, but Im trying to get him to think "Godzilla" next!![hilarious](https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/images/smilies/smLach2.gif)
By the end of our 4th session in the Novice group, I had to let the Vantage pass as he was really gaining in 2 specific corners even though the M3 had the straight line advantage. Amazing how a day on the track can inspire the confidence to really push your car more than you ever thought it was capable of.
I really just wanted to share my exciting day as well as post so that those with the E93 don't feel that they cannot too enjoy a little track time.
