I never thought anyone outside of a hardcore BMW loyalist or an utter M3 enthusiast would purchase the LR Edition.

You did say after 16 years you're leaving a NSX. The Lime Rock edition was not created with brand converts or consumers just entering the M3 world in mind. It is 4-Levels Deep.

A specialty trim level, inside a specialty model, inside a general family, inside a specialty brand and priced outside the sku range of a normal M3.

I prefer the Alacantara . Leather/cloth standard in the LRE package.

very nice. I too am enjoying my first, 3 month old BMW. Love it. Its no M3-LR, but my thread is a few below this one.

 

Nice pic. Seeing it now on the road vs. beauty shots makes me appreciate just how much lower it sits vs. a standard M3.
Watch that front splitter.

 

It doesn't sit any lower then a normal competition package M3.
