we have 5 new 7's in the family, I love this car more and more. Very comfortable, alot better then my dads past S500. While not as quick, it handles a lot better. And is leap years ahead in comfortability
then there's the fact 2 of the 5 have been lemoned for new cars (which BMW gave us UNREAL deals on) and they all spend a good amount of time in the shop. But they give my dad a Cooper S everytime it's in so it's all good

The new 750, is faster then a S500. The only 7's I have heard of getting lemoned where the 2002 745li's. I know maybe 3-4 people with 2003+ 745li's, one even has almost 80k on it and they have been bulletproof.

Well, you have now heard of an 03 being lemoned And a few 03's that have spent a good amoutn of time in the shop.
That said, they are all 745's, so I don't know how the 50 would feel to our S500. But hte S500 was definately faster. Hell it use to walk my brothers GS430 and my others 540i 6 spee after about 60

Looks good for a 7, albeit a little too blacked out. Love the new wheel option. However, I can't fathom why anyone under 50 would prefer the 7 over an M5 since they are at the same price point.

The 750 is far better bang for the buck. M5 is closer to street pricing of the 760. Now talk about a difficult choice ... a V12 vs. a V10 at the same price. M5 has better handling and SMG but 760 has smoother ride and more luxury and more bling. Which one would you pick?

^ shank isn't looking for power or handling, he is looking for comfort and luxury. He has other cars when he wants to go fast, 360CS, Gallardo, 1200HP Viper, Sl600 RENNtech etc... no need for a seadan that is also fast.

I did not chose the 760, because I would take a bath on it after a year of use. 750's have better resale, and is not that much slower than the 760. Didn't make sense to me to go for the 12.
As far as blacking out the chrome - that is the feature of the sport package option. I did notice the non sport package chrome trim, and thought it was too blingy anyway. The 21" wheel was a BMW Dealer option, and I think it looks well on it...well enough not to change it.
Yes, the 02's had dealer buy backs, and major problems. But I've heard 03 and up are pretty reliable.
My only gripe with this car is the coated windshield, not allowing my I-Pass and V1 Radar to function properly. I have to now seek some remote V1 installation, and Remote I Pass installation. Another PIA.
