I can't sit straight up in the CLS... but sweet car. Depends on what you're looking for. More spirited driving: M5. Something the the wife will drive sometime and bit more posh: CLS55. I don't thinkg the M5 stands apart enough from the regular 5's. You can definetly tell M's apart from standards in the older E39 body.

I think you should put the things like this:
M5 vs E55
or
M6 vs CLS55
The CLS is a 2+2 car and the rear seat has the same room than a regular coupe, so despite of the 4 doors, it is fair to be compared with the M6 and not with the M5.

MB iz stuffing the monster engine in it here comes the CLS65 with 604hp.
That oughta be a straight line killer.
