Nuttin wrong with my bike cept for the blown clutch (must stop doing wheelies)
Updates on the update
Well it's been an interesting week to say the least. Basically my insurance company had tried to do me over sighting that my BMW is modified (good thing I didn't make claim on the Porsche) anyhoo the so called mods which the insurer were trying to use as an excuse for not paying up is
M5 wheels (aparently they are "Mags") and therefore a modification.
The suspenson (M3 gear and ebach shocks on new springs) are a modification and the car is aparently too low, the minimum legal ride height here is 100mm my car comes in at 105mm at it's lowest point due to a bent stub axle sustained in the accident so thats aparently a modification.
Thing is they wanted an independant assesment of the car to which I agreed and the car passed legal limits with flying colours. Then the insurance company wanted to charge me an excess even though their policy clearly states that if they have the details of the other party and the crash is not my fault then no excess will be charged. Go figure.
I work in insurance, have 130 clients in my portfolio worth in excess of $30 mil AUD so I know the tactics that companies employ to attempt to get out of paying
Bottom line, I ripped them a new one yesterday ending with the state manager calling me today with a settlement offer,
They repair my car with the exception of the wheel as it wasn't mentioned on the policy.
Fair enough I thought So I'm off to the clown that hit me for my new wheel.
Hopefully next week I get my daily driver back.
