Can't beat those prices, I thought it'd be easily 60k+... maybe I should hold of on the M coupe. The only thing is, I hope it didn't get beat with the ugly stick... hopefully, the final product looks better than the spy shots.

I like it and if the prices are correct i'll be ordering one also. Anyone know if they have plans for an M3 sedan?

I agree that first MY cars aren't as safe to buy regarding reliabilaty (sp?) but the engine is basicly a chopped off V10 from the M5/M6 and the gearbox is the same as it's big brothers as well so it's pretty much plug and play.

In the E46s defence, the 3.2L was all new and so was the SMGII which was from what I heard a totally different gearbox than SMGI.

They've had some trouble with the SMGIII in the M5 but should have worked all those bugs out when releasing the E9X M3.

So I think (and hope) the new M3 will be more reliable than it's predecessor.

The rumours say that there will be a sedan, coupe, wagon and convertible. Don't know if they'll all make it to the US though.

after owning 3 M cars in my life.
BMW pricing is just a big SCAM.

It always looks good on paper, till you sit down and start ticking all the boxes.

Well Porsche is even worst at this..

hehe..

Honestly not all that exciting for a sports car. The new Z4 M is better choice.

They better have a more HP option, cause BMW is starting to fall behind the competition!

hmm... don't forget about the 7-speed gears of the M3 and launch control... I think the 4.0 V8 from BMW will be as potent (maybe more) than the 6.3 from MB.
