a quiet performance exhaust is an oxymoron...leave it stock if you are reallt that concerned with noise levels.

I can't agree with you although "quiet" or "loud" are subjective but I got an Europipe Quiet on my 996 Turbo and is not much louder than factory but alot better sounding and boosted performance by 18bhp...

If we may clear up some of the issues here, Sport version is made: gears towards moderate sound increase and moderate power gain, and for Racing performance, factory has created one which will gain the maximum power gain along with aggressive / mean exhaust note. One thing, if we may chim in, the high-pitch noise of these eisenmann units are purposely put / created by the factory sound engineer, because when the sound is only deep and throaty then it will create a lot of cabin vibration and drone frequncy sound. When the sound is loud and if the sound is only deep and bass loud, it will give you headaches as well as create uncomfortable driving condition especially on Natural frequncy (vibration) drone range. However when the sound is above a certain frequency range (this natural frrequency is set at a comportable freq. range), even the sound is extremely loud and sometimes obnoxious, (even scare people's away on streets) it will not be much of bothersome for the driver or folks in the cabin. Eisenmann engineers do study these facts and come up with aggressive toned Racing systems which actually minimize the cabin dronig noise and create sexy loud high-pitch noise for customers who would like to have fun with their cars.
