[quote=lig]Well done! All v. nice. Too bad your car is Silverstone - I'd swap trunks w/you.[quote]

Yea me too - been looking for a silverstone s2k owner who wants to swap trunklids with me and get the Mugen spoiler.....know anyone?

Thanks for all the kind words

The 2002 Black m3 is up for sale - there's a for sale thread over at m3forum

The yellow s2k is still my favorite car to drive if I had to pick the keys to only one car to drive on the weekend - not sure if this will be true after I get my GT3...hehe

Love the M3, is that a custom made hood?

You have a VERY good eye - most people think it's a Hartge hood....

Yes it's totally custom, basically an OEM m3 aluminum hood we carefully cut and then welded in the new shape along with foam that was sanded to form those shapes......

It was one learning experience cuz each time it was done perfectly the foam would shrink and cause the paint to crack! Took us 3 tries before it finally cured - talk about expensive!

But the beauty of this hood is it's lightweight like OEM but has the fit / finish that only OEM can match - no CF hood will fit or feel this solid. Thus no need for hood pins or all that other nonsense!

Of course the final hood was done with a special LUMAR clear bra film that is optically transparent and looks perfect!
