I drove a Z4MCoupe and while the handling and fit and finish were great, the power was a bit lame. I guess I can't expect a $50K car to meet the performance requirements of a $150K car but I was left wanting more power... imagine that.

Are you looking to replace the turbo?
I'd take the Z4M coupe, but I see you weren't too impressed by it. In terms of power though, it will be faster than your other choices in stock form.
The 550i is nice if you want a little more luxury and space, but both the 335 and mcoupe will be more nimble and fun to drive. If you enjoy modding cars, the 335 with it's biturbo would be a good choice. Or perhaps wait for the 535 with the same engine.
For the price of an optioned 550, you could get a used 997S.

Yes... the GreyGhost will be moving to a new home in about a week or so if all goes well.
The 550i with many bells and whistles including the sport package is under $70K. I don't think a 997S will be near that... plus all the mods I would have to do on the Porsche to make it perform up to snuff would be too expensive.
This will be a daily driver for 400 miles per week. Don;t get me wrong, the Z4MC is a fun little car, just not as fast as I am used to. The styling is very nice and the handling far exceeds that of my 996TT when it had stock suspension on it. I think with new wheels and tires this car would be fully modded... until the supercharger comes out... :0

Here's my take...
Z4M Coupe... looks great, handles great, don't see many on the road, least expensive price with all the options, lacks power and torque, only 2 seats
335i... looks ok, handles ok, don't see too many on the road, 4 seats, don't know about power since I haven't driven it, 90 days for delivery, styling is marginal
550i... looks like M5, handles pretty good, don't see too many on the road, 4 seats, don't know about power since I haven't driven it, 60 days for delivery, not a big fan of the looks of the new 5 series, 4 doors

- If you're looking for an all-rounder I'd go for the 335.
- If you feel you're lacking power with the M coupe, I think you'll be dissapointed with the 3- and 5- series in this area too.
All three are excellent representatives of their individual segment, but they are very different cars.. You won't go wrong with any of them although I think you'll be seeing a lot more 335s than the 550s or M coupe's.

MZ4 ! Very unique ! If the power doesn't impress you, you can always supercharge it, since the engine comes from the e46 m3, its pretty much all figured out ! Lots of SC companies with great products..+CSL Reps,Eisenmann full system and you're set with a jaw dropping ride...

I dont know man, i felt the E46 M3 was much quicker then the Z4Mcoupe, very weird, was way too small and didnt love the interior.
550 is very nice, but i would get an M5 since prices dropped alot!
335 is a sick car, im not even worried about the tuning capability or anything, the handling was impressive, power out of the box, fit and finish IMO, i truly loved the car, not more then an E46 M3 though!
