VCSL Cabrio Project Update & Pics

Thanks! I haven't decided on the extra power yet in either S/C or Turbo. I'm going to get the subframe reinforcements as I'm sure I'll need them. For now the car is running super-strong with the CSL header/cats/x-pipe/DA Race software and I've lightened her up quite a bit.
I'm looking to have this done later this year or early next year. I wanted the platform set first and I've pretty much accomplished that. Thanks.

nice car man! very tastgully thought out and completed. i think the wheels are a little too bling for me, but they match the car well and if you like them thats what counts. if youre doing the HPF turbo kit, its gonna be insane. congrats on a job well done.

Thanks for the compliments and feedback. I'm actually thinking about doing a Time Attack style for the wheels. I had these made custom and I love them but they're a lot of work to maintain. I've never owned highly polished aluminum and had a weekend of polishing the front and inside hub and was it ever a lot of work. I looked into powder coating just the spokes but that couldn't be done since it's a two-piece wheel and the "pieces" are welded and would require separating for sandblasting. The only other option is to blacken them out completely Vorsteiner just came out with the exact wheel but in all black. If I did this I'd go with a satin (semi-gloss) finish. We'll see, I might just keep this and have sore fingers for a few days after each polish session.

I don't know about the lip-thing since I converted all of my carbon fiber to 2x2 weave including replacing the lip. It all started with the interior being trim at 2x2 cf then I ordered a CSL console in that since it usually comes in 1x1, then I did the cf strut bar, engine cover, radiator cover in the same, and added a replacement rear diffuser in 2x2. The Vorsteiner Race Hood is a new generation hood that only maintains the outer vents - I wanted to be different. The vents are in 2x2, and I'm going to leave the underside of the hood exposed CF in 2x2. So you get the idea - carbon fiber is a good thing to me.
Of course there's the carbon fiber on my monobloc 6 piston BBK. When the rears come out in monobloc I'm replacing those too to match the fronts.
Here's a photoshop of the hood (vents are a little bigger and positioned slightly further back) - the hood will also have a slightly larger Power Dome.
