Boost control? So you make ~500whp on the street? Why not just get a supercharger than...save the money and have the power in more of the powerband? And you still have the ability to spin tires...and I'm not saying ~500whp is drivable...its more reasonable but still not very streetable...

I had a 500rwhp supercharger, I wanted more power.
In low boost i make about 650rwhp, in high boost 800+whp. I used to drive around with drag radials, as long as its not road racing (i go more drag racing then road racing) they worked fine.
I love the powerband now, much more so then the supercharger, not only that just the raw power is crazy.
This streetable/drivable excuses are just plain excuses for people that leave their cars stock. I would never drive a stock M3 at this point.

Thats a pretty asinine comment. Who says you can't road race 1k rwhp cars? A good friend of mine had his TT Viper at Gingerman last week and was running it hard out there... No issues with it what so ever. Blowing the tires off has more to do with the power delivery than with the absolute HP figure. I've driven 500rwhp cars that wouldn't hook for anything, yet 1k rwhp cars that will dead hook 3rd gear like you wouldn't believe.
Then again I guess knowing how to drive and realizing the throttle is more than an on/off switch helps too.

And if you've ever seen the dyno curve on a Single Turbo 6 Clyinders, you'll realize that the throttle actually is an on/off switch which is exactly why people don't use them to road race...
