$26K = 540hp

For reference, the Ruf Kompressor conversion for my old 997S was $22K or so for 440hp.

Gabriel is infamous around these parts
So the verdict is that the new M3 is slower than the 997S while the second is at the end of it's life-circle and waiting for the benefits of Direct Injection to make it even faster.

All the technology in the motor goes wasted with such a heavy outfit. THe car is no longer as beautiful as it was (which for many is quite a reason to buy and drive daily).

Kinda reminds me of a fat chick cutting her hair to lose half a pound with that CF roof on top of a 3600 pound body...

After seing some AWD dyno runs for the RS4 I really want to see how many of those 540 horses end up at the patch of my tires...

you forget for 15K, can supercharge a 997 or 997S and output goes to about 480-500 hp and theres no way that SC rs4 is keeping up with either as they both trap 123-125 and run mid 11s and could run faster on better ties and smaller wheels.

since this thread has turned into what-not, how about this question:

why not use VF Engineering SC on a base 911 and now for +$10k you have a car that will be almost impossible to touch. I mean a well equipped 911 is about $80k or so and with the SC now you are at $90k. An rs4 with the SC is about the same price - mid $90k's.

is Ruf that much better than VF?

While i think its badarse and everything, the car is STILL heavy with it...so whats the point? Might as well toss a frickin sunroof on there for me!

^You can get a sunroof, but then you get a steel roof instead of cf.

RS4 with supercharger must be pure sex!! I don't care if it's not faster than SC 911. All I need is more seats to carry *****es.
