M6 6 speed: ability to disable DSC
I'm contemplating an M6, and drove an SMG and 6 speed this weekend. I much prefer the 6 speed, but it seems that you cannot disable the DSC. Thus, no wheelspin, slower acceleration, etc. Very disappointing. The M brochure states this is true for the M5 only, but it was my experience with the M6. Anyone have specific knowledge on this?

Try searching over http://www.m6board.com/ By the way, did you sell your GT2 to champion Porsche? I saw one while I was down there and sales man said about same mods as you listed.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check there. I sold the GT2 to someone in Ohio, and he had Protomotive do some substantial work to it. He then sold it to a young guy who was posting as GT2 kid. Still miss it.

Because of your suggestion, I've learned a lot about DSC. Effective September the software is being changed so that you can disable it, and the dealers can download it to cars built before then. A copy of the service bulletin was also online. This was a big help for me, thanks, as I didn't like the SMG car but really liked the 6 speed version.
