M coupe: since it has traction control etc, would it be suitable to drive in the rain occassionally at freeway speeds?

I know I hated driving my S2000 or C5 when it was raining.

my vote goes to 335,its great all around car and its a twin turbo, with just a chip u get around 60-70 hp.Just make sure that u get the one with oil cooler, because early production ones had problems with oil temperature it would go into limp mode really quick on the track, other than that they are perfect

335s are nice, but its just a 3 series. I didn't feel too excited when I drove the 335 coupe.

The M coupe on the other hand felt amazing when pushed hard. It's what I would pick.

Maybe consider something else that will be available early next year in the $50k range.

Lexus IS-F.

400+hp, under 13 sec 1/4 mile, reliable, should have better feedback than a 335 (maybe not the Z4M), hauls 4 people, rare.

Between the two you picked, I like the 335 though.

i'd just drive civic instead.

Yeah, M is what's holding me back from getting 335i atm...
as far as weather is concerned, i think neither of them are better than the other.

definately less M coupe on the road than 335i. to be honest, i've NEVER seen M coupe on the road. (the new one that is)

tough call

i think all the new ones dont have any issues with oil temperature.

Man I would definitely say this is a tough choice. Although I chose the 335 merely for the fact that for the performance factor you can almost get it to the point of the new M3, with a Procede chip, of course the handling factor is definitely less than an M car.

But I would also have to say that the handling stability of just a standard 335 is amzing in comparison to other manufacturers basic setups.

I think the looks are on the side of the Z4M because that is a damn sexy looking car for the price and they are not nearly as common as the 335.

quick question, does M coupe have E46 M3 engine in it?
i know that it's S54 but just curious if they changed anything to motor itself.

I dont think they changed anything with the motor. It's rated as 330HP as opposed to the M3's 333HP, but that shoudn't make any difference.

Another question, can you get competition rims (CSL-like) that come with M3? (I know the "real" CSL comes with wider width but I am talking about ones in US under competition package for E46 M3.)

Can you just swap out M coupe rims and put in or doesn't work?
