n00b questions (TPMS)

Took delivery. The owners manual is on backorder so I can't consult it yet.

The TPMS is constantly disabled. This gives a big explanation point in the dash and a note in the display. How can I make this thing either work right or STFU? I ran through the settings thing in the display menu but it won't go away.

Can I just twist the gearshift **** off?

Check your pressures and reset it. It takes a while, 10 miles or so for it to reset. I have had to reset it more than once to get it to take.
