20s? That would be crazy , assuming they would fit on a 986. I have since removed my 19s and put them on a C4S that I picked up last month. The ride of the 911 with 19s is so enjoyable compared to when they were on the Boxster. It's unfair to compare the two since the 911 is more rigid and does not suffer from cowl shake of an open-air car. If I didn't pick up the 911, I probably would have gotten rid of them since the Box ran so rough.

You realize that those rear wheels extend 19mm outward and have 19mm less inner clearance than the stock wheels. I'd bet that you needed the 7mm spacer to clear the shocks, but that extends the wheels a whopping 26mm beyond stock.

You can see the problem in your pics (the wheels extend beyond the fender). I would advise you against lowering you car as the wheels will almost certainly rub.

Yeah, once I put them on, they stuck out too far for my tastes. I put them on a 996 C4S that I recently picked up and now need to get wider rubber. I threw the stocks 17s back on the Boxster and am enjoying the better ride
