Twin Turbo Boxster

I have finally taken a few pictures of my twin turbo setup.
Granted this is no 500hp monster. But the power is delivered early in the rpms, smooth and last all the way to redline.

Its a low boost setup, only 6psi.
The intercooler is mounted beneath the car, I have had this set up for over 4 months and have had no issues with it at all.

AS far as power goes, peak power is on 60hp, but across the rpm it varies, at some points its almost 75 over stock.(5100rpm)

The tourqe comes on low at 3000 rpms my baseline toruqe was around 135 whereas the turbo was 170.

I have a little more tweaking to do before the setup is at 100%.

At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOunWKqkh80 you can see the video of my dyno.

what is the max boost? did you do any internal work? will this be easier than do a 3.4 swap? which is faster??? thanks!

Very cool! What sort of before/after numbers are you putting down on the dyno? I know you're not done with the tuning yet, but I'm sure everyone is curious!

Keep us posted on your progress. Love the project...

Gary your ride is coming along NICE.

I noticed something that could be a BIG issue. You know that aluminum plate you removed to install the intercooler? I heard the car can't hold an alignment w/o it in place and secured, did Turbowex say that it was o.k. to remove?

Seems like a very complex/expensive setup for 60-75hp. Is it possible to safely turn up the boost? What was the cost to do this? It seems well executed though. Why the custom turbo over the supercharger kits that are available?

Also, I'm assuming the IC is an air to air? Does it get enough flow and is there something underneath that channels the air through it.

Ddog not without doing some internal mods.. Simple fact is that the 60-70 HP increase is all relative to the stock power the engine makes. Just as your 120 or so HP increase is to the 3.4. It is all in the percentage of increase vs stock.
