Are there any race preped Boxsters? If so, any sites? Who sells cages, or are they all custom built? Are they not a good platform to build? Such as for time trials, anything like that?

Yes, mostly on the west coast... most are club raced in the Boxster spec series with the POC... Those two above are the best... Most are custom built... stable energies makes a good bolt in... message bruinbro to get some feed back on it... Its a good roll cage, but probably not so much for open wheel racing. Yes they are a great platform... mid engine, flat-6's low CG, good power for the weight, relatively cheap for the base boxsters, and other reasons... there are some problems like Powersteering leaks that have to be addressed, but on the track they are VERY fast. A guy placed second in TTC at the NASA nationals in a boxster S this year, and another placed third the year before... there a few club raced in stock classes around the country in PCA club races, but they are few and far between. The only downfall is lack of development for the cars as a race platform. A few cars were raced in GrandAM by speedsource earlier this decade with good success, but those teams moved on the more developed platforms... My car is set up like a BSR spec car suspension wise, and I have no problem keeping up with GT3's on technical tracks where they can't take too much advantage of their HP...
