2010 Porsche Boxster

You have all probably read this already.
http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...he-boxster.htm

But I hadnt seen it.

270 for the base Boxster hell that is going to be a quick car for the entry model porsche and if they can keep the fuel economy or make it better as well and 315 for the S so close to the 911. I look forward to seeing some images. I wonder if this car will hurt the 987 values as much as the 987 hurt the 986 when it arrived.

We might see a concept in Frankfurt this year or if not certainly at Geneva in 2009

That's a nice bump in hp if it turns out to be true.

I dont think porsche is going to have much choice if the numbers for the new z4 are true (2009 model). Apparently they are dropping the 300 bhp twin turbo engine from the 335i in the one that is equivalant price to the Boxster and there are rumours that the Mz4 is getting the same v8 that is in the M3.......

I think the power bump is needed to stay ahead of the other cars in the segment.

A new redesign would be welcome as well. I agree with everyone that's mentioned the HP bump, especially in the base vehicle. Maybe Porsche has realized that a Boxster will not eat into the 911 market, because it will never be a 911 and vice versa and giving it a decent boost in HP plus a separate design will be a good move.

To stay in the "game", Porsche needs to stay ahead. Mid-mounted engines are the way to go, and 911s my become entry level in the near future...

We need to see some pics. I sure hope that they do it right. Might prevent me from swapping my 986 to a 987 if the early pics look good enough.

One thing is sure...if the Boxster will be so close in terms of power to the Carrera, than this one will have more power!
