A few of us are having problems with the GT3 brakes.
It is clearly a PSM 8 problem that occurs only under high speed braking. The PSM is stops the application of hard braking. If you re-apply the brakes gently, they work. But hard braking is disabled. I only had this problem after installing gt3 brakes. Others are having this problem with PCCB and standard brakes.

It is NOT an ABS problem. We are working out the details, but we believe it is a VDC system problem.
You can find it at the caymanclub.net competition forum, brake issues. http://www.caymanclub.net/cayman-com...ues-track.html

Those numbers are rear brakes . Part numbers of the front 996TT brake discs (however, 330mm) are:
996.351.409.02
996.351.410.02

Its only the TT rotors that need to be used, instead of the GT3 rotors. They are exactly the same rotors, but the rotors have a 2mm difference in the offset.
Nope. 996TT discs are 330 x 34mm (4 piston caliper) whereas 996 Mk2 GT3 discs are 350 x 34mm (6 piston caliper). If you want 350mm, I think the 997 GT3 steel rotors will fit. I don't have the part numbers right now, I'll get them later.

ONE PROBLEM.... the GT3 rotors will not fit on the front. The offset is wrong. But the good news is that the 996Turbo rotors will fit perfectly. I wrote those part numbers down but I left it in my garage at the track. I can get them on Sunday, if you need it.

Ok, here are the part numbers you will need to change the wheel carrier and bearings. Also you will need brake lines....
997-341-157-25 AS Wheel Carrier
997-341-158-25 AS Wheel Carrier
999-053-054-05 Angular Ball Bearing
996-355-584-9B Brake Line
996-355-581-9B Brake Line

Once you change the wheel carriers the front GT3 calipers and 996 turbo rotors will fit perfectly. unfortunately the wheel carriers are $600 each.

Also, in case you don't know the rear GT3 rotors and calipers will not fit. BUT the good news is that we designed and machined 'rotor spacers'. these are just like "wheel spacers", but they go behind the rotors, instead on top. Its about 7mm thick, so you need the longer Porsche wheel bolts. My machinist will build a set if you want one, I can hook you up. I don't know the cost yet.
The part number of the wheel carrier listed above is the same for 987/997. Is the wheel carrier for the 997GT3 a different part number instead ?

These are the part numbers for is the 997GT3.
997-341-157-25 AS Wheel Carrier
997-341-158-25 AS Wheel Carrier
They also use this as the 987 PBBC wheel carrier.
It is the same, because they use the same caliper mount spacing.

The wheel carrier part number for the 987 standard brakes that came with the car is also 997 part number.
997-341-157-05
997-341-158-05

Also, If I typed the front disc number as a 996, that was wrong, I meant to type 997. Hare the the correct numbers.
997-351-405-00
997-351-406-00

We actually used the 997turbo front rotors. These are the correct numbers for the front rotors.

we have done it before with 997 GT3 front brakes... requires 997S/GT3 uprights and there is no direct bolt on for the rear... bit of a pain actually.
