A Speedster

A friend, a previous 986S owner offered an original T Equipment 'SPEEDSTER HUMP' to me to fit on my 987s!

Apparently it does fit on the 987 as at first I thought it does not! But I am not so sure about it!

What do you think Guys? I would like to have some feedback!

I have a 986 with the factory humps. When the 987s came out I went to a tech session at the local dealership and put my humps on the 987. They don't fit.

Wow now that is a let down! I was warming to them!

Any idea why they do not fit? Can they be easily modified to fit?

The 986 humps are not even close to fitting a 987. The biggest problem is the roll bar is in a different positioin.

Your picture is aftermarket humps designed for the 987. For some reason Porsche gave up on humps and does not have a 987 version.

Not a fan of the "humps" on the 987....I was considering it but I think it looks funny.

I have 3 or 4 clients that have cars that came with the humps(2 were Box 550s...) I dont think they ever installed them. Not my bag.

I think you have to try them to see how you really like them. I didn't really care for them much, but after getting them paint matched and all I really do like them. I try to put them on the car as much as possible. I think they just add a little extra style.

I was waiting outside a supermarket for my SO on a trip a couple months ago and parked next to a stock Boxster. The owner came out and talked to me about my car. Did he comment on the HID lights, BSA wheels, lowered stance, GT3 front bumper, Gemballa side skirts, or Gemballa rear bumper? Nope, the one thing that stood out to him that he commented on were the speedster humps....
