Cayman S or 996 C4S?

We have run and moved up in the same runs groups for past 2 years so I believe they are just as good of a driver as me.

Sorry but your wrong about that. There is no difference between a 02 and any other model, except the radio. The newer models has fibre optic connections. PIA in my opinion.

Why dont you need PASM in the Cayman S? My SA told me that it stiffens the suspension by lowering 10mm. It was noticible when I was driving on a bumpy bridge. Is it really not worth it?

another thing...one magazine i read a while back was saying they feel at though the 911 without PASM is a more compliant ride than one with PASM.

My suggestion would be a 2006 Carrera 4. You get the 997 body style, interior, the VarioCam Plus, big wide butt.
Good luck in which ever way you choose. I've driven a lot of cars and the Cayman S just doesn't have the low end Tq. and grunt power that you get with the 997

I had the same questions before buying my C4S. I'd wanted the Cayman S for some time, but always enjoyed the look of the C4S, as others have said. What finally turned me to the C4S was the interior space and the sunroof. And the low-end torque. The Cayman interior felt too cramped for me to use as a daily driver. And this is after many, many years in a 911SC just about every day. So I suppose it comes down to personal taste, intended use, interior comfort, and all the other subjective points that might come to mind. Either way, you can't go wrong. Good luck, good hunting, and be sure to report back with your decision.
