Boxster Handling at the limit

Boxster Handling at the limit
I have been experimenting with my new (used) 986 to see what the handling is like at high speed. I am hoping to do some autocrossing and track days this fall. I have been amazed at the high level of grip in exit ramps at high speed, it seems to be so neutral and grips like glue. I keep posuing it and it keeps going. What happens at the limit does the car give much warning? Does it under or over steer? I don't have PSM so I don't want to find out the hard way.

I think it really depends on a few factors - throttle position, steering input and whether you're entering or exiting a corner???
Since you have a 996TT comparing it to a Boxster the box is much easier to make corrections.
Just don't yank the steering wheel and lift the throttle...

Here's what happens when you over correct...

I have intentionally put my Cayman in a spin and its very neutral and if you keep your wits about you you can save it.

you'll find that your boxster is a nimble little thing around those cones! it's going to give you the perfect opportunity to see how she does!
if you get the chance, try and take a driver's skills class as well! with pca, they'll wet down the track and have your learn on water! it's educational but fun too!

Just autocrossed this weekend and the Boxster was very well behaved and predictable. It was suprizingly easy to recover from spins. Of course this was low speed (under 60 MPH) stuff
